These chocolate cupcake toppers were so easy to make. All I had to do was melt the chocolate and pour it into the Halloween themed chocolate mold.
How To Add the Melted Chocolate to the Halloween Themed Chocolate Mold
I used a spoon to add the chocolate into each cavity but it was so messy plus I wasted so much time. Next time I will definitely use a food-grade liquid dropper or a piping bag to add the melted chocolate into the cavities quicker and mess-free.
Are these Cupcake Toppers easy to Remove from the Mold?
This chocolate mold is made with silicone and it’s flexible so all I had to do was stretch the mold a little and the cupcake toppers were released from the mold.
However, because the mold producers thin toppers two of the toppers including the cat and ghost kept on breaking. Therefore if you use this mold carefully remove these two.
How Thick is the Halloween Cupcake Toppers?
The Halloween cupcake toppers are not very thick. In fact, they are about 0.2 inches thick which is perfect for topping cupcakes.
So overall, these chocolate Halloween cupcake toppers are big enough to be placed on standard size cupcakes decorated with buttercream.
However, there are many other desserts I will definitely use them for. For instance, I think they are amazing for topping ice-creams and also cheesecakes.

Microwavable Bowl:
A microwavable bowl is a must for melting your chocolate. The bowl used here is amazing. It’s actually part of a set of these microwavable mixing bowls below.

Spatula:
Use a spatula, a spoon, or even folk to stir the chocolate during the melting intervals.
Pipping Bag, Food Grade Liquid Dropper or Spoon:
You can spoon the melted chocolate in the cavities as I did but it can get messy and requires additional time for cleaning any messy created around any cavity while filling.
Therefore, consider using a piping bag or a food-grade liquid dropper – either method minimizes the chances of creating a mess and help you fill the entire chocolate mold quicker.
Chocolate Halloween Cupcake Toppers Instructions
- Chop chocolate bar into small pieces
- Melt the chocolate in the microwave
- Add melted chocolate into the chocolate mold cavities
- Allow chocolate to chill until set
- Remove chocolate from the chocolate mold
- Time to serve

- Chop the chocolate bar into small pieces then prep it for the microwave by placing the chopped chocolate in a microwave bowl.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave:
- Melt the chocolate in the microwave for about 1 minute using 30-minute intervals for stirring using a spatula.
