I was browsing Sephora.com and saw this foundation on sale. If you’re my skin tone and you’re shade 86 Cocoa Deep see if you can still grab this foundation. Shade 86 Cocoa Deep is the last shade left and it’s on sale for $32.

A YouTuber Made My Buy The Damn Thing
After one of my favorite YouTubers of all time said how great this foundation was I added it to my wishlist. This foundation has been on my wishlist for a long time, so when I saw it on sale at Sephora knowing that it’s been discontinued I decided it was now or never so I grabbed a bottle.

Anyway, y’all she has great skin so I was a little wary because my skin is not the best. Plus, what works great for one person might not work great for someone else, but when your fave says it’s good and gives it her seal of approval what else to do but try it?
Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Foundation Flashback Test
So this is the foundation with flash on. There is no crazy flashback with the Marc Jacobs Genius Gel foundation so that’s a plus. I was expecting some horrible flashback especially after trying Marc Jacobs Shameless [… read more here] but there wasn’t.
Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Foundation With No Flash
Overall, the foundation performs great. I used three pumps to cover my face but I could have gotten away using just two. The foundation doesn’t feel heavy on the skin, it looks great and it held up great. I was oily but nothing out of the norm. I blotted after four hours which wasn’t bad for me considering I had no primer under this foundation.
Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Foundation Discontinued
Why would Marc Jacobs discontinue the genius gel foundation to replace it with Shameless doesn’t make sense. They really should have kept the line and expanded the shade range. I am assuming manufacturing Marc Jacobs Shameless is cheaper considering the quality difference between the two foundations.
What Y’all think? Should they have discontinued Marc Jacobs Genius Gel to replaced it with Marc Jacobs Shameless? I personally don’t care for Marc Jacobs since the “dreads Spring show situation” but the company makes great products so I can’t knock that.
