Boardbooster Shutdown Best Best Alternative To Increase Pinterest Views | Chiclypoised.com

Boardbooster Shutdown

As of June 27, Boardbooster is shutting down.

According to an email I receive from Boardbooster, their approach to pinning is no longer allowed, plus their attempt to obtain an official partnership with Pinterest failed.

We have some sad news to share. BoardBooster will shut down on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 after four exciting years. We were always focused on listening to our users and helping them succeed on Pinterest. Unfortunately, BoardBooster’s approach to pinning is no longer allowed. Our attempts to obtain the official partner status for BoardBooster did not work out, so it’s time to move on. We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause to you! Your BoardBooster account will be available through June 27th in case you want to print out your reports or invoices. Then BoardBooster will stop pinning and all sensitive data will be securely deleted. We’re going to process all due refunds over the next 30 days.

Boardbooster Best Alternative To Increase Pinterest Views

To date, Tailwind is the best alternative to Boardbooster, so if you are looking for an alternative to schedule your pins, Tailwind is your best bet.

New Tailwind subscribers receive one month free upon sign up.

Plus if you sign up for annual billing you receive four months free.

With Boardbooster gone, who knows how long these perks will be available, so now might be the best time to sign up for a Tailwind account.

Does Tailwind Work?

Well, I have used Tailwind to schedule my pins since April last year, and it seems helpful.

My Pinterest views are now above 100K monthly. Now I can’t give all credit to Tailwind especially since I also pin manually plus I used Boardbooster.

Some may think this strategy an overkill, however when it comes to managing Pinterest every bit helps.

Boardbooster Looping Was Helpful

I mainly used Boardbooster to reshare my pins across various Pinterest boards, especially group boards – this function was very helpful.

It allowed me to share old pins with new followers easily.

Tailwind Smart Looping Is Boardbooster Looping Alternative?

Smart looping allows Tailwind to completely replace Boardbooster.

The new function, Tailwind smart looping is in beta mode for now but so far it looks like it will be a replacement for Boardbooster looping function.

Pinterest Not Playing Games No More

In this modern society, money talks and bullshit walks.

Boardbooster shutdown is no surprise. Pinterest has become very aggressive with its advertising campaigns lately. Consequently, organic referral traffic from Pinterest is slowly becoming a thing of the past.

Pinterest Aggressive Advertising Campaigns

Now I see many Fortune 500 retailers flocking to Pinterest to advertise.

You can’t stroll through your feed for more than 10 seconds without seeing ads by these retailers – their ads are all over, usually three ads at a time.

Pinterest Pay To Play

I can’t imagine Pinterest’s aggressive advertising campaigns being good for users, but I acknowledge Pinterest now is like any other social media platform where you have to pay to play.

Things Make More Sense When You Follow The Money

My guess is Boardbooster couldn’t afford to pay to play or Boardbooster method of pinning was helping influencers gain traffic with little effort without paying for Pinterest Ads, consequently messing up Pinterest money, hence the reason for their demise.

Se La Vie

Overall, it is what it is, all these platforms now are the same – pay to play. The only way to avoid their money thirst system is to build your own email list.

  1. This is so sad, but it makes sense if Pinterest is looking for regular users to increase their spending on the platform. Since the announcement, I’ve been paying to boost more of my pins directly via Pinterest, because fortunately, their paid promotion gives your account a super boost, which I really like.

Group boards are still a great source of traffic for me, and I admin quite a few of them.

I suppose I’m going to be switching over to tailwind soon, but I am still holding out hope that boardbooster will reopen in a few weeks with a new look, pricing structure and tools. Which would be really awesome!

    Great post!

  2. Thanks, Erin! ? It really is an unfortunate situation. I hope they come back stronger and better but in the meantime, we need to figure out a strategy.

I am happy you’re finding a solution I am still here trying to figure out how to replace their services without spending additional time on Pinterest. As for group boards, they are great but sometimes it’s hard to get on the right boards.

Tailwind is the next best thing. I actually joined them months after joining BoardBooster because I wanted to try their tribes out. Hopefully, Tailwind Smart Looping performs just as well as BoardBooster’s looping. Facebook groups help also – have you tried Facebook groups?
