Buy a cheap Mainstays pillow from Walmart for the fiberfill or a bag of Polyester fiberfill from Hobby Lobby. Both are around $3 to $5.

Stuff pillow corners with the fiberfill first then evenly add fiberfill to the rest of the pillow.
Smooth out any lumps by fining out the fiberfill with your fingertips before zipping the pillow.
Zip the pillow cover.
Fluff your pillow a little bit and you’re done!

Creating Throw Pillow Insert vs Stuffing The Pillow Cover With Fiberfill

I created two 20×20 inch throw pillow inserts using a 20 x54 inch body pillow and a mini sewing machine. In all, it was time-consuming even with the sewing machine. If you are interested in that DIY it’s right → here.

However, to be fair I am not a seamstress and my mini sewing machine isn’t a standard sewing machine. Therefore, considering these factors it makes sense why creating the pillow inserts was time-consuming.
