Ipsy Reviews October 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

October Ipsy glam bag was Halloween-themed, named Spellbound. This bag featured products from Tonymoly, Skinvolve, Essence, Derelict, and It Cosmetics.

Out of all the products, I had high hopes for the Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder By It Cosmetics, but I was disappointed.

Anyway, here’s what I thought about the products I received.

What’s In October 2017 Ipsy Bag

  • Tonymoly Peach Hand Cream
  • Skinvolve Phoenician Secret Scrub Peppermint
  • Essence Satin Touch Blush in Satin Coral or Satin Love
  • Dermelect Cosmeceuticals ‘Me’
  • It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder

Peach Hand Cream By Tonymoly

This hand cream was alright, nothing special.

I am not a big fan of receiving hand cream in my Ipsy glam bag.

Furthermore, I would have preferred a lip product. Nevertheless, the hand cream smells great, and it’s lightly scented.

Phoenician Secret Scrub Peppermint By Skinvolve

Phoenician Secret Scrub Peppermint was different, and I liked that.

Ipsy usually doesn’t add these types of products to my glam bag. It’s a good scrub, but you must avoid the eye area.

Nevertheless, it leaves the skin feeling fresh and clean.

Satin Touch Blush in Satin Coral or Satin Love By Essence

Essence Cosmetics blush is actually pigmented, I was surprised since I didn’t expect much from it.

However, it’s a little powdery, but for the $2.99 it’s a good blush. I wouldn’t buy it, though.

My go-to blushes are La Femme Blushes.

‘Me’ By Dermelect Cosmeceuticals

There is always room for nail polish, so I am always happy to see one in my Ipsy bag.

The color of this nail polish is pretty – it is a duochrome nail polish.

Additionally, it applies beautifully and dries quickly.

Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder By It Cosmetics

Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder By It Cosmetics was my product of choice. I was so excited to try this product.

I have eyed the Bye Bye Poreless Finish Airbrush Powder on Sephora for a while now.

Well, after trying the pressed powder, I am happy I never got the Bye Bye Poreless Finish Airbrush Powder.

This pressed powder changed the color of my foundation and my pores were still very visible. The only pro is, it was very mattifying for the first hour.

I would not recommend this at all.

Final Thoughts On Ipsy Reviews October 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

The bag was cute. Overall, it was a good bag. However, I won’t be buying any of these products. Stay tuned for November Ipsy Bag.

Have you tried any of these products?

  1. The Essence Satin Touch blush is really good for the price – I have it and like it a lot.
Too bad the Bye Bye Pores powder didn’t work well for you – how disappointing.

  2. Yes, the Essence blush really surprised me especially for the price and the amount you get. It’s a good deal. The Bye Bye Pores powder was disappointing but I will continue trying it out with different foundations to see if I get better results.
