Ipsy Reviews September 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag
September Ipsy bag design is the bomb! I am thinking about using it as a clutch.
If I do, I will surely post the outfit on here, especially since my fashion category on this blog is almost nonexistent.
However, I hope to really change that this fall and incorporate my personal style into this blog.
I think fall will be a great time to start since it would be cooler.
I think the cooler weather is always better for photoshoots since the cooler breeze keeps your makeup snatched, and for me, that’s important since I am so oily.
Anyway, enough of my rambling, let’s get to the bag and its contents.
Ipsy Bag Design
The design is fab. So it’s an all-black, faux leather, and spiked.
It will be a great little clutch for a few drinks at a bar. I am looking forward to using it for just that.

Ipsy Bag Theme
When I saw the theme, I was like alright I feel it, but the contents of the bag did not really live up to my “Like A Boss” expectations – it fell flat.
I think a red lippy, a black eyeliner a “glow to the gods” highlighter would have done the trick. So here are the products received and my thoughts for the September Ipsy bag.

Luxie Rose Gold Medium Angled Shading Eye Brush 207 By Luxie Beauty
Claims:
- Angled shape helps you blend creams and powder shadows.
- Fluffy, synthetic bristles.
- 100% cruelty free
Thoughts:
The brush is cute – it will look good in flat lay pictures.
I am always happy to see a brush in my bag – it’s a huge plus, so good-looking out Ipsy. The bristles are soft on the skin, so I am looking forward to using them.
Since the brush is relatively flat with a little fluffy end, it can be used to apply and blend cream and powder shadows. This is my second brush from Luxie Beauty.
I received the first one in my May Ipsy bag, so far I have enjoyed using the brush, hence I have high hopes for this one.
Black Sugar Mask By Skin Food
Claims:
- Exfoliates and boosts moisture.
- Moisturizing.
- Smooth, baby-soft complexion.
- An all-natural blend of organic black sugar, shea butter, and macadamia oil.
Thoughts:
I am not sure about this product. I added a little to my chin, and it felt really oily, so I didn’t apply it to the rest of my face.
Furthermore, I had a breakout a few weeks ago, and I am still recovering from it, so I am not taking any chances, so this product was a pass for me.
The way my skin is “set up” now, precaution and prevention are better than cure.
Did you’ll receive this and tried it? How was it? I might try it on another part of my body and see what happens.
Lights, Camera, Lash 4-in-1 Mascara By Tarte
Claims:
- Curling.
- Volumizing.
- Lengthening.
- Conditioning.
- Cruelty-free mascara.
- Vegan mascara formula.
- Mascara wand coats, separates and defines lashes.
Thoughts:
The deluxe lights, camera, lash 4-in-1 mascara by Tarte is curling, volumizing, lengthening and your lashes are soft after application.
However, I am just not a fan of this mascara – it clumps up badly and takes too long to dry. For the cost of the mascara, that’s a no for me.
I-Line 24/7 Eyeliner By Beauty For Real
Claims:
- Rich gel formula.
- Super pigmented.
- Lasts all day without touch-ups.
- Self-sharpening pencil.
Thoughts:
It doesn’t dry immediately, so you’ll have some time to smudge and play with your line before it sets.
However, Champagne Buzz is glittery, so it’s not ideal for everyday use. The Black Magic color would be more useful.
Also, there was very little in the tube – I used up all by just swatching and experimenting with the formula.
Pop! Goes the Shadow By Elizabeth Mott
Claims:
- Blends like a dream.
- Makes any eye color pop.
Thoughts:
I receive toasted – it’s a great color. This eyeshadow is not powdery, and it blends like a charm. The color intensifies when the eyeshadow is applied wet.
This was probably the best product from the Ipsy September bag.
Recommendations From Ipsy Reviews September 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag
None. The products received weren’t impressive – products did not live up to the theme of the bag “Like A Boss”.
I am looking forward to October Ipsy bag, hopefully, the products will be better.
If anything, the bag design for September was fantastic, so two thumbs up for the bag.
